PGP and the Omega canary
A warrant canary on a Tor market is a regularly signed statement that the operators still control the key. Omega-s 2026 sample is monthly. This page is about verification, not cryptography lectures.

Verification workflow
- Open a hostname copied from omega.onion-wiki.com only.
- Copy the market PGP fingerprint from that onion page.
- Import the key in a local client (Kleopatra, GPG, OpenKeychain).
- Verify the canary or login notice against that exact fingerprint.
- If another mirror shows a different fingerprint - stop. Do not type credentials.
Ignore fingerprints posted on clearnet clones, Discord, or cropped screenshots. The signing key lives on the hidden service.
When the canary skips
A gap past six weeks is a yellow flag worth monitoring. It is not automatic proof of seizure, but it is enough to pause deposits. Pair the canary with uptime of the three v3 rows.
